Good food. It's similar to the Chipotle way. You pick your carb, protein blah blah blah. At around two pm it was almost empty aside from a couple. The person that helped us was very patient. Being today was our first exposure to Garbanzo. This location is deserving of their four stars. I based it on their fresh greens, well flavored beef and awesome hummus. The salad was I think one of the best. You can get a plate like I did and practically loaded on almost everything they got or just salad it! They have free wifi and their lemonade with unique flavors were refreshing.

Their menu is a bit confusing if you have never been there before. However, the staff was very helpful. It is basically the Chipotle concept for Mediterranean food. I was there to get a gyro but they were out of the flatbread. I made it a wrap instead. The food there is pretty good overall. One exceptional item were the falafel. They were the best I have had outside NYC. The reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is that the price is a bit high for both the quality and style of the restaurant. Also, it was not as clean as I would like. The women's bathroom was having serious issues and the door was wide open. I will go back but it is not a place for which I would make a special trip.

I haven't seen this chain in Northern California, so curiosity led me here for a late lunch. The place was practically empty, so we were helped immediately. The place resembles a Chipotle type of restaurant where you follow a simple selection process: choose your meal, protein, sides followed by extras. It's a simple effective process that is extremely customizable. The interior is kept clean and stocked. The decor is just like a typical fast food style restaurant. The staff was patient with us as it was our first time. I ordered the Plate with Gyro Meat and pretty much all of the sides they offered. Surprisingly, everything on my plate was very tasty, flavorful and fresh. The Gyro meat was tender and seasoned. The hummus had a nice smoky flavor, and salads were very crispy and flavorful. I would have never expected this from a fast food style restaurant, but I'm sold.

It is a chain, so you know what you are getting here. I love Garbanzo's as a healthy lunch alternative, when I just can't face eating another salad! I personally like the plate, with chicken shwarma, hummus, veggie salad and tabuleh + red chile sauce (pita on the side). The greek salad is also a popular choice. The line moves and they always have samples Lots of parking in the lot and a few spaces out front (parallel parking).
(4)Mulcher S.
I'll give it four stars simply for the price. Other then that the food is fresh, consistent and taste pretty good. It's a better option then a greasy burger or gut bomb burrito. There frequent guest program isn't very informative but I believe it is getting better. Very good place for a healthier lunch or dinner choice on the quick. Go slightly off peak lunch times to avoid a wait and to get seating.

Every time I come to Garbanzos, no matter where, I'm always happy and wonder why I don't eat there more often. The staff is super friendly and you almost always get offered free food (a falafel ball) when you walk in the door. Clean and contemporary inside, and if you're a regular and know how to order, you can be in and out in three minutes with your order. The pita bread (get the wheat ones, trust me) is hot and tasty, the veggies and hummus/baba ganoush are cold and fresh, and the proteins are usually hot and recently grilled. If you come at an odd hour, the meats may be a bit old but that's the same everywhere. This location doesn't have a lot of close parking (nor do the surrounding businesses) but that's pretty much par for the course for these new strip malls. They have a good rewards program as well so take advantage.
(5)Ashley M.
I always enjoy their chicken plate. I wish they would use olive oil instead of genetically modified canola oil tho. This place is supposed to be healthy. Hopefully they will make that change in the future. For now, i just avoid anything with oil.
(3)Jack D.
Horrendous. Filthy restaurant Gloppy, tasteless food - except for the chicken. It was burnt so it had some flavor. I was also charged an extra two dollars for the "extra chicken" they decided to add to my order.
(1)Full of life Y.
Had a huge plate (chicken) with extra 3oz lamb with all extra sauce for less than $11. Food was very fresh & servers were very friendly too. I didn't realized this place is a chain restaurant. For that it was very impressed with their food quality. If I have to complain, things I wanted was literally left overs in the container. She totally clean the chicken meat container & it barely made one scoop. Wish she pulled out a new container & give me the fresh meat. It should be for two people portion but oh well, I ate like a little piggy then regret eating all that! Tummy was hurting..... I will definitely come back for lunch!!
(4)Derek L.
I love Garbanzos but they need to train better or make a better Gyro. Not a good one today, sorry.
(2)Cynthia S.
I went there again 2 days ago at around 7 PM. I wanted a Gyro, but employees didn't notice that they ran out of Gyros! There was a cashier & 4 other employees during dinner time but nobody noticed that more gyros should be cooked?! The whole atmosphere was chaotic & employees didn't have a clue!
(1)Layla R.
Went here last week with a girlfriend. The food was ok, but nothing really to write home about. The cucumber salad was not all that fresh. They work when you want quick mediterranean food with variety, but personally I can think of better places I would like to go if I'm going to go for a more exotic taste bud mood.
(3)Kristen C.
What's not to like? Fresh food, delicious, lots of choices, good prices, clean, friendly service even during the lunch rush. To help your time in line go faster they hand out falafel samples-- pretty cool. Convenient to tons of offices so anytime after 11:30am during weekdays it gets crazy. I'll still come here and wait as it is a good healthy place to get lunch!
(5)Jason D.
Loved it! My first time to try Garbanzos and I had a great lunch! I will be back for sure
(5)Steve N.
I thought gyro was lamb sliced from a rotating spit? Here it means frozen slices of cardboard put on the hot plate. Might be a corporate directive but ain't no gyro! Other than that good service and falafels are pretty good (I'm a sucker for free samples).
(2)Nic Z.
Hmm... I don't know. I wasn't thrilled. It's good, but it's not $8-10 good. (I'm picky if I'm eating out, considering my own lunches - delicious lunches, at that - cost me ~$3 to make). They did hand out free falafels, which I gladly accepted (weekday lunch vulture), and then remembered I don't like falafel when I bit into it... haha. Woops! I got chicken shwarma and almost every [complimentary] side available. To beat a dead horse, it was ok. I had quite a few chewy bits in my chicken, and the rest was pretty average.
(3)Josh K.
This Garbanzo was the full package. The staff went above and beyond. It is really great to see the staff enjoying their jobs. Specifically, Michael and Nick (the GM). Both gave great service and answered all my questions. The food was great too. I enjoyed my gyro. I saw them pull the meat out of the cooler as well -- BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE MEAT SHOULD BE STORED IF IT IS MADE TO ORDER. Overall great experience.
(5)James G.
Awesome, reasonably priced food! Wraps are huge! They're very generous on meat / protein portions.
(5)Victoria L.
Still fresh, healthy, but utterly tasteless. This place used to be good, but maybe they toned it down to please the bland people that live in Lone Tree. Service was very good - got a free falafal! -Disappointed
(3)Jeffrey M.
Great customer service, great falafel, excellent sauces, great value, and lots of vegan options. This place is consistent, the food is always fresh, delicious and the portions are plentiful. The free sample of falafel while you are ordering is icing on the cake. My family eats here a couple times a month and my kids love it.
(5)Dan B.
The Chipotle-ization of America continues...at least in Colorado. This small chain brings the "pick your own ingredients" model to Mediterranean food. The thing is: they do an amazingly good job. So much that I wish this concept would come to CA...and soon! Falafel quality is excellent - at least 8 out of 10. Meat and soup quality is also very high. Fresh pita (reg or whole wheat) is served with each meal; it is baked on the spot (I got a kick out of watching the baking machine.) Orders can be customized as: in Pita, in Plates (my usual), in Laffa (Lavash), or as a Salad. you can also make a meal by adding ingredients to a soup (lentil was a favorite). In addition to hummus and greens, the spectrum of sides is very large, including red cabbage, pickled eggplant, baba ganoush, etc. And the price point is amazingly low for what you get. Needless to say, this Garbanzo (and another location a few miles north) became a regular lunch spot for me during my extended stay in the area. 5 stars...to spread the word...to help them prosper...and so they will build more locations...and then can expand some day to the Bay Area; That's my plan and I'm sticking with it.
(5)Steve E.
Alas, whence I and a merry troupe ventured forth to Garbanzo for Mediterranean delights, we were initially well met. T'was the Christmas season coupled with the bustlement of Rush Hour. The Laffa craftsmen t'were busy at their toil, but offered merriment and good cheer with their customary sample of falafel. Alas, the gleanings of pita fillings were scant, as the craftsmen scraped the bottom of yonder barrels. The lightness of fillings t'were bemoaned silently from my merry troupe, though we carried on. This visit Garbanzo did not live up to its host reputation as I remembered nary a year before. Cold winter chill overtook the banquet hall every time the door was embarked. The pita bread, undergone trial by fire in excess, t'was burned past toasted and was met by my merry troupe with hearty disapproval. Perchance t'was an ill-fated commerce, the location caught unaware by nefarious fortune, but my merry troupe was burdened of heart to see the reputation of the Garbanzo banquet hall so darkened.
(2)Dee S.
Got the gyro with chicken. The menu says the Tzatziki Sauce was supposed to be on the top. They put the sauce on the bottom towards the middle. First bite was dry since the chicken was dry and there was no sauce on top. Asked for more tzatziki sauce but that wasn't enough. Next time, I'll ask them to put the sauce on the top. My friend really enjoyed her plate meal.
(3)Chrille F.
Food is great. Easy, fresh and you can picl and choose what you like. Had a shwarma wrap with grilled chicken. Can fully recommend
(4)Garrett M.
It was a nice first visit for me for a chain, they had plenty of choices and it was nice and clean so I couldn't ask for much more out of a chain. Those things being said I wish that they had recommendations when it comes to meal choices, if the restaurant had a little more structure to the menu and choices I would certainly rate 4 stars. If you know exactly what you want with little help from the menu this is the place for you. If you have a young one with you I would definitely not recommend this place.
(3)Liz P.
Good food for the most part; however, the delivery of oil-covered stuffed grape leaves in a plastic bag to dine-in customers, while easy for the restaurant staff, really causes the customer to get quite dirty while retrieving said grape leaves. Additionally, nearly every staff member had dirty shirts/aprons on and at 7:30pm on a Tuesday nearly 75% tables needed to be wiped down/cleaned. They could use better oversight of cleaning duties, as this leaves a customer to question if sanitary/food handling procedures are just as lackadasical.
(2)Nicole W.
The chipotle of Mediterranean food! The menu was confusing to me and my MIL but the staff took the time to explain it all to us, and let us change our minds, and make substitutions! I went with the salad bowl - start with hummus on the bottom, then lettuce, then the salads you want, top with baba ganush, side of tzitiki - omg - delicious! Great addition to the Target parking lot (as i call that area). Delicious food, lots of seating, friendly staff! Next time i'm in the area - i'll be back
(4)Stephanie N.
What can I say? I'm a fan of Mediterranean food. It has a certain charm about it. And Mediterranean food is very tasty overall. The location of this restaurant is very simple. It's an easy place to get to! This makes it really nice. It's also not located at streets or intersections that are too busy! Now for a little review of food and cashier service. When I walked in the door, I was immediately offered a sample of a falafel. This was an extremely nice gesture and it surely impressed me. I'm not going to refuse a free sample. The girls that were working there were quite nice and they were mean as some cashiers are. The food at this restaurant is definitely above average especially considering that this restaurant is more of a fast food restaurant. I have an entree plate made up of lettuce, red cabbage, baba ganouch, chicken shawarma, pita bread, and humus. I also made a combo and received extra falafels. All of the food was pretty fresh and it was tasty. There's not much else to say. It was important that the vegetables I had were fresh. I would just like to add one thing. I was deciding what to get as a side for my combo and one of the choices was a dolma. I told the cashier I was not familiar with this side and she gave me a sample of a dolma. This was just an extra gesture of customer service that I extremely appreciated. If I had a choice, I would come here and get food again! If you have extra cash or just want to try something new, I suggest that you give this Garbanzo Grille a try. Enjoy!
(4)WillyAnn Z.
When I am visiting Denver I like to come to this location and order a plate with the portabello mushrooms. The price, taste, and service is spot on for convenience food. I wish this chain was close to me in SoCal so I can eat here more often. I have visited this location 4x and the workers there are always very friendly and smiling. Whoever is hiring have done a great job.
(5)Jennifer B.
Food is always super fresh at Garbanzo. I always feel super great about myself when I go here since I don't need any cheese and I only get a pita and not an entire loaf of french bread which can happen some days. I love the complimentary falafel while you are figuring out what to order. I always put in a lot of veggies into my pita and I enjoy trying all the different sauces. I like to say I try a new one every visit. I also had the pleasure of trying their chips made in house with the cilantro sauce for dipping, just to try. Very fresh tasting. If you want relatively healthy and a fresh lunch or dinner, did I mention fast, make a trip and me impressed with how full you get.
(4)Correy H.
Great location, food and service (however they do something forget my free falafel when the place is slow). The only suggestion I have is to switch to Coke.
(4)Cynthia H.
Wow. With all the good reviews, we were anticipating this lunch. There were three of us and to the person, we will not be returning. Instead of going into details about every item, you will understand with one sentence -- we saw the cook pull the gyro meat out of the freezer and plop it on the grill. Uh, oh. But still tried to keep an open mind. Dry and tasteless.
(1)Kane P.
Good place, fresh food and you always leave stuffed.
(3)Tiger C.
This place has convinced me on Baba Ga-NOOOSH, so they must be doing something right! Get a "plate" with the hummus, lettuce, rice, Baba Gee, wheat pita, cabbage, etc. Top with falafel/steak/chicken. Add your choice of their freshly made sauces (on the side for the less adventurous). Try their teas too!
(5)Cheryl L.
How can you not love a place when the first step in the door and they are offering you something for FREE!!!! Yes, you get one falafel while you are waiting to place your order or even trying to decide. I also love the fact that while they keep a short condensed menu there are also different combos available. Keep it simple and do something well. The food is always fresh and no matter which location I visit the staff is always very friendly and helpful it's your first time. The always seem to be cranking out Pitas so they are warm and fresh. One of my favorite chains these days.
(4)Kelsey K.
First time at Garbonzo and I was pretty impressed. Lots of food for a low price. I was confused/intimidated by the way they have their menu condensed. Protein with salads and sides. What salads? What sides? They aren't listed. But as you walk around the counter they have it all salad bar style laid out with everything labeled. I got the falafel plate with tabbouleh and hummus with rice, and the tzatziki and garlic Mediterranean sauces. The tabbouleh is excellent; just what I wanted. The tomatoes were nice and fresh and it had just enough lemon. The falafel is excellent, great texture. It could have had more flavor but for the price and abundance I'm not complaining. The pita bread was good but nothing special. Same goes with the rice; nothing to write home about but not bad. I will definitely be going back again to try the shwarma!
(5)Michael L.
This is the Moe's or Chipotle of Mediterranean food. The steak shwarma was good, as was the tabbouleh. The grape leaves were tasty, but they serve them cold here. I wish there was a location near the house.
(3)Sara B.
I was a little surprised at this place. I opted for the "plate" with hummus and eggplant. YUMMMY! My whole meal was so tasty, affordable and fresh. For sure a place that I will return.
(4)Scott G.
I am surprised at this place based upon the reviews I read... In town with the family for a wedding and decided to get some food in our stomached before the big day. Nothing like something semi-healthy before an evening of eating and drinking. I went with the kabob chicken platter that came with rice, humus, pita and salad. Everything tasted burnt and almost like it was soaked in kerosine. From the kabob, to the rice to humus and salad, it all had a funky taste. And, I wasn't the only one in our party who thought so. No one was blown away. Maybe, coming from a place with loads of Medeterrain food options, I am jaded? It wasn't that the ingredients didn't seem fresh or of quality. It was just the chemical aftertaste that seemed to be apparent in everything. I am perplexed, as the place was crowded and the reviews are solid. In my family's case, we'd not go back...
(1)Sam H.
Very good food and reasonably priced. It is a chain, but I still think it is better quality and value then some of the local greek venues. Their plate option is the way to go- starts with a healthy serving of lettuce and then you can put what ever else you want on it- Meats, falafel, Hummus, Baba Ganoush, red cabbage and other veggies and whatever sauces you like. Also, comes with a pita (white or whole-wheat). Great healthy option, I just wish they had one on 16th street mall.
(4)Kristen W.
Love this place! It is a chain and rated as such it is surprisingly and wonderfully fresh & tasty. My kids are even hooked. For the adventurous, I recommend the plate where you can try a taste of everything! I love the sauces...especially the spicy red sauce and the creamy garlic. The hummus is so fluffy and delicious you'll"'ll be craving more for days. The chicken is flavorful and the pitas are warm and just baked. Mmmmmm...you"ve gotta try it!
(5)Andrea B.
Yummy!! Really good falafel, really (really) good hummus. Ultra-friendly staff, with quick, cheap, easy food. Also, if you take the little survey at the bottom of your receipt, you get a free drink or falafel. I joined the 'garbanzo club' and get free stuff basically every time I'm there. I guess that's just them saying thank you for spending so much money at this place, which I do. YUM!
(5)Anna B.
Sweet Son of Schwarma, I wish these fine places existed in Oregon, I swear to you, I'd go every day. Garbanzo's is like Chipotle, but for Mediterranean food. It's the same style of order-at-counter, pick-yer-protein, dress it all up, check out at the end. For cheap. Pick between pita (white or wheat, made upon order), plate, laffa (tortilla-like wrap), or greens, then chicken/beef/falafel or any combination of those. Add in any sides, sauces, or extras, and you are so set for a feast fit for Farzan. As I watched them pile high my 'plate lunch', I kept thinking they either 1. making a mistake or 2. it was going to cost me at least ten smackers for all the stuff I added in (which was... everything available). But no! A gigantic platter of hummus, tabbouleh, rice, fresh pickles, vegetable salad, baba ganoush, eggplant, tahini, freshly-baked pita was then topped with FIVE falafel and set in front of my fat face for $6. It could have easily been three meals, so that, dear reader, is a recession special right there. Those fabulous little balls were awesome, too. Not too big, fried just right, and perfectly seasoned. Brother B had most of the same ingredients that I did, but with chicken and tucked into a pita, he loved it. Service was crazy friendly, nutritional info is clearly posted, the food is fresh and healthy, I love this chain. They are starting to pop up all over Denver Metro, dear God let them come West. Great place, even the website is cute.
(5)hosai s.
Favorite place to eat when in the area. I like the Greek salad with the taziki sauce and tahini sauces mixed. Also it goes well with either the chicken or beef. This pretty much my fall back restaurant when want something that feels light and healthy - not sure if it is or isnt but at least feels like it :) Oh yeah the chicken kabob platter is awesome too!
(5)Deno V.
I really like the food here. I liked it so much I had you cater my meeting. 40 people cant be wrong. Everyone was pleased.
(4)Arash M.
This place has great Mediterranean style fast food served with care and attention. I tried the chx plate which had many side options served. Everything was very rasty. Also very clean!!
(4)Jason L.
Garbanzo is one of my new addictions. Try the Chicken plate, with EVERYTHING! Top it off with some cilantro sauce and a little spicy red chili sauce! Make sure you sign up for their loyalty card to earn free meals.
(4)Stacy J.
I'm a fan of Garbanzo, but I always feel this location needs more staff training. They never seem to know what the menu says should go on their salads. I always have a great meal; my only complaint is that I wish there were more consistency between locations.
(3)Valerie G.
I totally, completely, hopelessly love this place. I get the pita with either chicken or steak. I'd say it's a greek version of Chipotle. Fast, fresh, friendly service.
(5)Dan L.
Om nom nom!
(5)Price B.
OK, I do like Garbanzos, in fact when I am not traveling, I had their soup up to three times a week, then they pulled the supper bowl off the menu, not I will be by one two time a month instead of 8. I still get a bowl, but it is just too small and in truth a little expensive for its size. I do like Mediterranean food and for that it is also very good. I am in Israel a couple times a year so I have a craving for Mediterranean food in between trips and this is good.
(3)Joe Y.
I love Garbanzo but this location's chicken shwarma gets overcooked sometimes.
(4)Ria K.
You want nutritious mediterranean fast food with falaffel..w ell you got it here,, But I would suggest this place for rush hours like usual lunch time... or else it seems a bit smelly and old...
(5)John W.
Oh falafel, how I love thee. "Would you like to sample a falafel?" Why yes, yes I would!! The hummus is pretty good. The rest of the menu is standard Med fair but I usually don't order much past falafel and hummus.
(4)Jeremy N.
I think this place is great. I get the kabobs generally and find the portions satisfactory. They will even do one kabob steak and the other mushroom. mmm....
(4)Sid B.
I had a excellent lunch today. The food was fresh and warm. The staff went out of their way to serve you. The line was long but moved fast. After two excellent lunches this has become a new favorite.
(5)Sho G.
After eating at various locations I have to bump my rating up. The food here is consistently good and this is the location I go to most. Its a great option for Mediterranean food.
(4)Kristen '.
This place is amazing, absolutely amazing. I eat here at least 3 times a week, and sometimes I have it for lunch and dinner. I always get the plate, that way you get to try everything! After going around 400 times I have my plate pretty much down pat. First, hummus and lettuce? Yes. Veggie salad? Hells yes. Baba ganoush? Sometimes, it's a bit on the smokey side which I am not always in the mood for. Pickled eggplant is really great, as is the grilled eggplant, but they always give you 3 slices no matter how big the slices are. The falafel is delicious but if you get your plate to-go they get soggy, so get them on the side instead. After writing this, I think I know what I will be having for lunch.
(5)Jonathan U.
I walked in and it felt like I was right at Chipotle, except with Mediterranean food. It was really good. It is hard to find good vegetarian options in this area, but the falafel was great. This is a great place for vegetarians and others that enjoy this food. Reasonably priced as well.
(5)Steve W.
Want a new flavor - then this is your spot! It is not for everyone as a friend teases me over my choice of pickled eggplant and funky sauces... But if you enjoy pitas then this is your place. It's definitely worth it if you are craving a 'lunch time' change up!
(4)
